12 mm
The 12 mm disc covers single units and short-span temporaries, and nests the most crowns per blank.
CAD/CAM Anterior esthetic temporary restoration material, with revolutionary shade gradience technology, demarcation of shades realization, Multi-layer PMMA satisfies shade gradience from incisal to bottom. Excellent performance, stability, translucency and good bio-compatibility, multi-layer PMMA delivers no-stimulus features to the oral tissues.

Aidite Multilayer PMMA is a tooth-colored milling disc for provisional crowns and bridges, with a shade gradient that runs from the incisal edge through the blank. The transition is manufactured in, so a temporary comes off the mill looking like a tooth rather than a flat plastic cap.
Bending strength is 120 MPa or higher. The material is 99% polymethyl methacrylate with cross-linking agents, which is what gives it the edge stability to mill thin without chipping.
Aidite’s FDA clearance allows intraoral use for up to six months while patients await permanent restoration. Treat six months as the limit, not a starting point.
A provisional has two jobs: hold the space and let the patient see where the case is going. The gradient handles the second one without any staining work.
Shade gradient from incisal through to the base of the disc
Bending strength of 120 MPa or higher
Water sorption of 25 micrograms per cubic millimeter or less
Solubility of 5 micrograms per cubic millimeter or less
Available in 16 VITA classical shades plus OM1, OM2 and OM3
Low water sorption keeps the shade stable in the mouth. A provisional that greys within a fortnight makes the lab look careless; this figure explains why this one holds.

These Aidite PMMA dental discs run on Wieland, Amann, Zirkon and Sirona systems, and on open CAD/CAM units in the 98 mm format. Dry or wet milling works; without sintering, a case milled in the morning can be polished and delivered the same day.
The cleared indication is temporary crowns and bridges. Aidite PMMA temporary crowns work anywhere the patient will see the result, covering most of the anterior.
Temporary crowns and bridges, anterior and posterior
Provisionals bridging the wait for a definitive restoration
Diagnostic mock-ups and wax-up substitutes
Implant try-ins and prototypes
Veneer temporaries
This temporary crown-and-bridge resin isn’t suitable for splints or night guards; they need purpose-made resin with different wear and fracture properties.

Up to six months. That is the period Aidite’s FDA clearance covers for temporary crowns and bridges awaiting a permanent restoration. If a case needs longer than that, you want a material cleared for extended wear instead.
The built-in gradient. Single-layer discs give you one flat shade, so you have to paint on anything lifelike. Aidite PMMA multilayer has the transition built in, which means temporary crowns made with Aidite PMMA need polishing and nothing else.
Yes. The light incisal layer belongs at the top of the unit. If you nest upside down, the gradient inverts, and unlike zirconia, you have no furnace stage to blame when it comes out wrong.
No. It polishes to a high gloss directly. Glaze or stain is available if a case calls for extra characterization, but most labs polish and send.
That is what the water sorption and solubility figures speak to. Both sit low, which is the mechanism behind the anti-fade behavior Aidite claims for the material.
