12 mm
The 12 mm disc covers single crowns and short bridges and gives the best yield per blank when your anterior volume is steady.
The TT Multilayer Zirconia is optimal for full contour anterior & posterior crowns and bridges (3 units). With a translucency of 49% and 600MPa of strength.
Hurry up, only 10 items left in stock.
TT Multilayer Zirconia is Upcera’s 5Y-PSZ disc and the most translucent material in the range at 49%. It carries a chroma gradient from a deeper cervical zone into a light incisal edge, so the shade transition is milled in rather than painted on.
Flexural strength is 600 MPa. That number is lower than every other disc Upcera makes, and it is the trade you accept for the optics. More yttria means more light through the material and less resistance to load.
Treat that as a boundary, not a weakness. Within its indication range, this disc delivers unmatched anterior work. Beyond it, choose another material; this page explains where the line lies.
Anterior cases fail on appearance long before they fail on strength. A 49% translucency disc gives you depth to work with instead of a flat white block to disguise.
49% translucency, the highest in the Upcera range
600 MPa flexural strength, suitable to three units
Chroma gradient from cervical to incisal built into the blank
Pre-shaded in 16 VITA classical shades plus BL1 to BL4
Polishes to a natural surface with or without glaze
The gradient also solves the matching problem in multi-unit anterior cases. Three crowns milled from the same blank share one color curve, which hand staining rarely achieves across separate units.

These TT multilayer zirconia discs run in open-architecture CAD/CAM systems and accept standard and speed sintering programs. The 5Y series fires cooler than the 4Y TT One series, so check the cycle before you load a mixed tray. Running a 5Y disc on a 4Y program overfires it, and the translucency you paid for goes with it.
Labs use TT multilayer zirconia for crowns & bridges in the smile zone, where appearance determines whether patients return.
Anterior crowns and full-contour cosmetic units
Smile design and veneer-thickness restorations
Posterior full-contour crowns
Anterior and posterior bridges up to three units
Implant-supported single crowns
Three units is the ceiling. For longer spans, full-arch frameworks and implant hybrids, use Upcera Explore Functional at 1027 to 1300 MPa. If you want a gradient with more strength behind it, TT One Multilayer runs 4Y-PSZ at 1000 MPa with 47% translucency.

Up to three units, yes. Beyond that, no. At 600 MPa the connectors become the weak point on longer spans and Explore Functional at 1027 to 1300 MPa is the right disc for that work.
TT Multilayer is 5Y at 49% translucency and 600 MPa. TT One Multilayer is 4Y at 47% translucency and 1000 MPa. Two percentage points of translucency against 400 MPa of strength, so pick by what the case demands.
Yes. The light layer belongs to the incisal. Nested the wrong way up, the gradient inverts and the restoration read dark at the edge, which has no amount of staining fixes afterwards.
Comfortably, in the anterior and in most posterior single units. Strength limits bite on span length and connector size, not on single-unit work with adequate thickness.
Not usually. The gradient covers the shade transition. Most technicians glaze and ship, saving characterization for cases where the patient is matching against a natural neighbor.
